Hutch Hockey Camps

Year-round Ice in Hutchinson

For 2023, there are three camp options – spring, summer, and fall – with approximately six weeks off between the sessions. The goal of year-round ice is to change our players' opportunity to grow and develop with local options at a cost-effective rate.

  • Spring: March 13-April 28 (7 weeks)
  • Summer: June 13-29 and July 11-27 (6 weeks)
  • Pre-season: TBD (4 weeks)

2023 SUMMER CAMP: June 13-29 and July 11-27 (6 weeks)

2023 summer camp is 6 weeks! Get a great value, even if you need to miss a week (or two). By choosing a local camp, kids can skate with their friends – and you save time and gas money.

About Griff Telecky

What is your current involvement with hockey?
I currently coach Bantam A Hockey for the Duluth Denfeld program

Tell us about your HS hockey experience.
I played Goalie for Hutch High School from 2018-2022. Luckily, I had some awesome coaches and incredible teammates along the way!

What is your favorite hockey memory?
My favorite hockey memory is either playing the State Tourney with all my buddies in 2020, or my first season coaching outside of HHA!

What are you most excited about for summer camp?
This camp means a lot to me because I grew up attending every year for about 8 years and then have helped coach the camp for the last 3-4 years. I hope I can help give the kids an awesome experience like I had for the last decade+ at the Hutch Hockey summer camp!

Keep the momentum of the season going with an optional 7-week Skills and Compete camp in the Burich Arena West.

Players will further enhance important skills used throughout the competitive season and participate in various small area games. Each level will also cover proper body contact.  The diverse schedule and practice plans keep kids engaged and having fun for off-season development and team bonding!

Spring camp will consist of high pace, high rep, skill-based practices with an emphasis on:

  • Power skating
  • Puck handling
  • Shooting/passing
  • Hockey IQ

Players will also participate in small area games, 3-on-3 games, and "The Show".

  • Mites: $200
  • 10U/Squirts and 12U/PeeWees: $350
  • HS/Bantams: $400
  • Goalies: contact the Registrars for promo code

Players are encouraged to register for the level that they are eligible to play for the 2023-2024 season. However, you may choose to play at current level if you prefer.

All players that register by February 26th will get a 2023 Hutch Hockey Skills & Compete camp practice jersey. Registration cost will increase by $25 on March 13. If the session is full, registration will close.

Combined Goalie & Snipe School @ Spring camp

Goalie camp: $75; up to 15 goalies

During the spring session there will also be a combined goalie and snipe school led by HHA coaches Brian Murphy and David Winn. Format: practice balance, footwork and agility for first 10-15 minutes, then split into stations. There will be shooters at each session.

Snipe school (12U/PW and up): $75; up to 15 shooters

Shooters will enhance accuracy skills through repetitions live goalies. For the first 10-15 minutes, shooters will work on shooting techniques (quick release, shooting while moving feet, fakes, changing angles, etc). Shooters will then split into stations and rotate with goalies of similar abilities.

The pre-season camp will consist of a 3-on-3 league for 30 minutes of each practice. Each session will have dedicated teams chosen by the coaches that stay consistent throughout the four weeks. The 3-on-3 playoffs will be the last week of camp. The other portion of practice will focus on skills, including power skating (form and speed), stick handling, and edges, etc.

There will also be five open hockey sessions available for additional ice time. Open hockey is included in the fall camp registration fee. For any HHA members not participating in fall camp, a separate Open Hockey pass may be purchased.
