April 18: Mites Equipment Return and Mites Boys Fun Day

We have scheduled the Mites equipment return for Sunday, April 18th from 2-4pm in the East Arena.  Please return all borrowed HHA equipment on this day.  If any of your equipment is damaged, please let a volunteer know so it doesn't end up in our inventory for next year.  If you plan to attend the Hutch summer camp, we will redistribute equipment at that time.

Also, on April 18th from 3-5pm, the boys Mites will have an end of year fun day playing soccer and other games on the turf, followed by pizza and snacks. The girls already had a successful fun day with bowling and pizza.  Let's have a great turnout for the boys too!

April 25: HHA Annual Meeting & Awards Night

Join us for the HHA Annual Meeting & Awards Night at the Crow River Country Club on April 25th at 3pm. There are four open board positions (each has a 2-year term) to vote on this year, including:

  • Secretary
  • Director of Hockey Operations
  • Director of SQ, PW and Bantams
  • Director of Mites

Position descriptions are on the HHA website. If you are interested in running for one of our open board positions, please reach out to Josh Karg at 320.552.3513 or

Join the off-season virtual training program through TeamGenius Virtual Hockey Academy for $100/yr!

For players looking to do some off-season training at home with minimal equipment, we would like to share an opportunity to work with former New Jerseys Devils captain Bryce Salvador.

The TeamGenius Virtual Hockey Academy contains a series of at-home workouts, skill sessions & challenges led by Bryce Salvador. The workouts promote daily skill development, long-term skill progression and include weekly prize giveaways that give the players a chance to win hockey gear.

Learn more and sign up here > They offer a 7-day free trial so there is no upfront commitment. If you are interested, make sure to use promo code HUTCH for a discounted rate of $100/year on the annual subscription.

Given the spectator limitation due to COVID-19, we have been working on other ways for family and friends to watch HHA games. We decided on a service called LiveBarn which is  now installed in both the East and West arenas to stream all youth hockey games, including JV/Varsity. Have an away game? Check out the other venues that also have LiveBarn - all included. The service is available on a subscription basis and allows you to watch both live and on-demand games at any time from any device.

For more information or to subscribe, visit LiveBarn. Enter code ee31-826h for 10% off.

Electronic Background Screening

The document below describes the steps that must be taken to register electronically the background screening required by the association for its volunteers (excludes minor officials).  This is the preferred method for doing this.  Both parents will need their own NGIN account to each register electronically.

Because NGIN will only allow an email account to be used one time in its system, if you are set up as a secondary email, you will have to remove that secondary email from the account, register yourself with that email, and then link the accounts under the profiles to receive all the necessary emails for your players.
